Eight cases reversed using Narcan, no overdose deaths reported

From the Steuben County Department of Health

Just like April to fool us! Additional opioid overdoses that occurred in March have been reported late, bringing the number of reported opioid overdoses from 20 to 29 for March.

With this new information, this year’s first quarter is right on trend with last year’s first quarter in reported opioid overdoses.

The reporting system, ODMAP, is accessed by first responders across the county. Some reports were put in late for March. To allow enough time for all monthly reporting to be input, we will share updates in the second week of the following month going forward.
