Story and photos by MICHELLE CHILDS
I was on my way to work this morning and out of the corner of my eye, I saw an Eagle feasting on his Easter morning breakfast.
In the past I “thought” I’ve seen Eagles before, but never close enough to actually be for sure.
Being a small town amateur photographer, I just so happened to have my Canon in the car.
I was so excited, I turned the car around to make sure that’s what I’ve actually witnessed. I grabbed the camera, opened the door and walked across the street, catching him eating his breakfast about 8:30 Easter morning.
To my surprise, out a little further was a baby Eagle also eating breakfast.
A little bit louder car came through and the Eagle popped his head off and must of caught the baby’s attention and flew off.
It was a magical experience for me because usually when I’m ready, I NEVER see anything cool unless it’s pre-planned. Also, I’ve always been infatuated with Eagles.
The town I grew up in is home of the Eagles and my uncle has always collected them.
I hope to get a few of these photos printed off for him to add to his collection.
