State Troopers in Steuben County report the arrest of Gage P. Heffner of Campbell for felony aggravated offense, felony first-degree criminal contempt and second-degree menacing with a weapon. Heffner was initially detained.
Canisteo-based Trooper leveled charges against a Hornell resident following an incident in the city. 44-year-old Jill A. Dery was charged with felony criminal possession of stolen property involving a credit card as well as petit larceny. Dery was issued an appearance ticket for court.
Village of Bath police took a man into custody stemming from a sexual assault. Police arrested Douglas Cook Jr., 29, of Bath. He was charged with first-degree rape. Authorities said Cook connected with a girl who was under the age of 13.
