Allegany County Historian Craig Braack will speak this evening

The Independence/Whitesville Bicentenneial party continues this evening with some fun events and a history lecture by the local history expert.
A pie contest will treat the tastebuds and provide some old-fashioned fun. Bearded men, bring your best ZZ Top style for the “Beard Judging Contest.”
The fun “Sesquicentennial Jail” will be set up between the Whitesville Library and the Firehall for a historical photo opportunity to mark the 200 year milestone.
