Brzozowksi, “grew up in the fire station”

Chief Richardson and Mayor Buckley congratulate Hornell’s second female firefighter in history!!

The Board of Public Safety approved the appointment of Kelsey Brzozowski as firefighter for the City of Hornell at their October 13th meeting.

Brzozowski becomes the 22nd member of the Hornell Fire Department’s current roster and the city’s second female firefighter.  “Kelsey has been working with us in a part-time capacity and her hard work and dedication to the city is already evident. We were impressed she was self-enrolled in paramedic school, which is a huge benefit. I look forward to her service and am confident she will continue to do great work for our community,” said Mayor John Buckley.

Commissioner Scott Richardson noted his enthusiasm for the appointment, “Kelsey is a very driven person. She isn’t afraid to put the work in, which is evident as she took the initiative to enroll in paramedic school on her own. She grew up in the fire station and knows her way around both firefighting and emergency medical services. She is a welcomed addition to the Hornell Fire Department and will do great things.”

Kelsey can put it out, but you will have to pay the bill! It pays to check Ryan
