Tattoo artist is also a prolific painter with a unique style
Gracy Getz is a painter and tattoo artist from the Finger Lakes region of Western NY. Although she enjoys creating art in various mediums, she is mostly identified with painting in watercolor and acrylic. Her art is frequently characterized by vibrant colors and bold illustration.
Early inspiration came from an interest in urban graffiti art and tattoo-style illustration. Her more recent paintings capture a traditional painterly style while still featuring vibrant colors and bold illustration, but with greater emphasis on atmospheric lighting. Themes explored in her artwork often focus on mythology, the unknown, the natural world, and all things curious and fascinating.
A professional artist since 2011, she has been drawing and painting since childhood. In 2014 she began tattooing at Bring your Skin in Bath. Presently she splits her time tattooing and pursuing her art career selling both originals and prints at local art shows and online.
