Steve Peck Announces Candidacy for 4th Ward Alderman

Mike Morey has declined to seek re-election to the 4th Ward

I am running for the position of 4th Ward Alderman in the City of Hornell. In 2001, I moved to Hornell and raised my daughter Logan in this great community. In July 2018, I met my wife Kristi, who has three daughters Alyssa, Cassidy, and Taylor. In the fall of 2020, Kristi and I purchased and remodeled a historic home in Hornell, big enough for our new blended family. Later that year, we got married in our new home, with a small ceremony of close friends and family.

Since moving to Hornell, I’ve been deeply involved in our community and have served in many roles, including; Chairman of the Hornell YMCA, board member of the St. James Foundation, and President of the Local Kiwanis Club. I have also participated in Hornell Children’s Home and the Salvation Army.

Once Alderman Morey decided not to seek re-election, I saw an opportunity to continue advocating for the community I call home by announcing my candidacy for 4th Ward Alderman. Through many years of volunteerism, I’ve collaborated with and led boards’ strategic planning and budget approvals. Being a part of these decisions has allowed me to speak on behalf of our community, address concerns, and work to provide solutions.

My commitment to the Ward is to listen, change what needs to be changed, improve what needs improving, and be your voice at Common Council meetings. I look forward to continuing to strengthen the Hornell community we are all a part of and love.

I respectfully ask that on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, you cast your vote for Steve Peck as your next 4th Ward Alderman.
