Kendyl LaSota starts Reiki and Psychic Medium services in Alfred

Joining the group of professionals located at Alfred Hair and Tanning on 23 Main Street in Alfred is Kendyl LaSota. Kendyl rents a space at the business to provide new and different services. She is a certified Reiki Practioner and a Psychic Medium.
Kendyl comes from Hartford, New York. She met a friend working at Hick’s Apple Orchard who was born and raised in Belfast, NY. He brought her to the area and she fell in love it. Kendyl has a degree in Criminal Investigation and Criminal Justice. She has worked in corrections and victim advocacy. Her life experiences and the awareness of her abilities led to her career change. She could not ignore the calling and is now a resident of Belfast. Alfred seemed like a good place to start her practice in Allegany County. Trying to understand the spirit realm has been a passion of hers ever since she can remember. She had had unique abilities her entire life. This passion led to her own healing and has allowed her to help others in their healing and spiritual journey.
Reiki is a Japanese form of energy healing and is a type of alternative medicine Practitioners place their hands lightly on or just above a person to direct universal energy that is transferred from the palms of their hands to the patient to support the body’s natural healing abilities. Kendyl offers Reiki in half-hour or one-hour sessions.
Kendyl also works as a Psychic Medium and a Spiritual Advisor. A March 2019 article in the New York Times referred to Psychic Mediums as the new Wellness Coaches. A Psychic uses extrasensory perception to identify information hidden from normal senses. They tune into the energy of people or objects by feeling or sensing elements of the past, present, or future. They rely on their basic instincts of intuition and psychic ability to gather information. Mediums rely on the presence of non-physical energy outside of themselves for the information relevant to the person being read.
Kendy offers private in-person services and virtual/online services including one on one Medium readings. She hopes to soon offer classes to those who are exploring their own psychic abilities or are becoming Reiki practitioners.
