Wellsville man arrested for felony rape of a child by New York State Police

Michael J. McKinley is currently incarcerated in the Allegany County Jail

A shocking array of charges against a Wellsville man for sexual violence against a child. Michael J. McKinley, 60, was arrested by NYS Police on Wednesday July 19 for three felonies.

The first is a class A felony of Predatory Sexual Assault of a Child which is defined in NYS Law:

McKinley was charged with two class B felonies, 1st Degree Rape, Actor over 17, Victim13 years or younger and Criminal Sex Act against a child 13 years or younger.

All three of the crimes McKinley is charged with carry a state prison sentence of up to 25 years.

Allegany County Jail officials confirmed that McKinley is incarcerated with bail set at $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond.
