Local New York State Police trooper arrest reports

All those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty. The Hornell Sun only publishes the names of felony offenders or high profile arrests.

Bath and Wayland-based State Police

Troopers charged Sarah Schroeder, 27, of Corning with felony third-degree grand larceny, second-degree possession of a forged instrument and first-degree falsifying business records after an an incident in Campbell first reported in March of 2021.

Troopers charged Sally Gilbert, 58, of Cameron Mills with fourth-degree grand larceny on Jan. 8 after an alleged incident in Bath in November. Gilbert was issued an appearance ticket.

Troopers charged Nathaniel A. Guarente, 23, of Liverpool with sexual misconduct and endangering the welfare of a child on Jan. 11 after an incident in Bath two days earlier.

Troopers charged Grayson C. Czarnecki, 30, of Avoca with felony driving while intoxicated and having a DWI conviction in less than 10 years after a traffic stop on Jan. 12 in Wheeler.


Troopers charged Collin Davis, 27, of Wayland, on Jan. 12 with felony first-degree criminal contempt.in the Village of Wayland. The accused is to appear in court at a later date.

Wayland-based Troopers charged a 34-year-old female from Wayland on the evening of January 12 for DWI, her first offense. She was arrested in the village of Wayland and issued an appearance ticket.

Troopers charged Collin Davis, 27, of Wayland with for a falsely reporting an incident on January 13. The arrest comes a day after Collins was charged with a felony criminal contempt. He was released to appear in court.

Troopers charged Adam J. Hosmer, 33 of Avoca on Jan. 14 with felony criminal possession of stolen property and a misdemeanor charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance. The arrest occurred in the town of Avoca and the status of the arrested is unknown.

Troopers from the Wayland barracks charged a 51 year old male with DWI in North Dansville. The Dansville resident was given an appearance ticket, this was his first DWI offense.

Troopers arrested a repeat drunk driver in the town of Howard on January 15. Craig M. Greene, 41, of Canisteo was charged with felony DWI and a felony for having another DWI within 10 years. Greene was issued an appearance ticket.
