LCAA boys swimming and diving championships

The Hornell Boys Swimming and Diving team competed in the LCAA Championships on Saturday at Haverling High School. 

Prior to the meet starting, Junior Dane Thompson, Sophomore Marek Kaszynski, and Freshman Calem Striker were named LCAA Division 1 All-stars for the 2021-2022 season.  Hornell finished 7th overall of 9 teams participating.

Kaszynski led the way individually with a 1st and 2nd place finish in the 100 yard backstroke and 50 yard freestyle respectively.  Both Thompson (50 and 100 yard freestyle) and Striker (200 and 500 yard freestyle) finished 3rd in both of their events.  The trio was joined by Junior Luke Sullivan finishing 7th in both the 200 Medley Relay and 400 freestyle relay. 

Hornell will next be in action February 8th and 10th for the section V class B championships.
