Wyoming County Community Health System CEO dies after a brief illness

Warsaw, New York, January 24, 2022.  It is with profound sadness and regret that Wyoming County and Wyoming County Community Health System announces the sudden and untimely passing of our valued CEO, respected colleague, and friend, Joseph McTernan after a brief illness.

Joe’s contributions to our health system over these past years has been invaluable and his leadership and his focus on our patients and community will be greatly missed.  Joe’s leadership vision provided a firm and guiding hand with an unwavering commitment to staff and patient safety throughout the COVID-19 pandemic health crisis.

The senior leadership team is handling all business and day-to-day operations in the near term.
