Top Seed: Eugenio Maria
Defending Champion: No Class Last Season
Contenders: No. 2 Caledonia-Mumford, No.3 Dundee/Bradford, No. 4 York,
Sleeper: No. 5 Bolivar-Richburg
Outlook: Eugenio Maria (12-4) has one of the top players in Section Five in Power Forward Antoine McFadden, however this class is loaded with strong teams and top players. Caledonia-Mumford (15-5) is led by future Hall of Fame Coach Dan Dickens who is on his last ride as he announced he’s retiring at the end of the season. Senior Guard Kyle Wade (21 PPG leads the way along with fellow Seniors Scott Essig (17 PPG) and Evan Raniewiec (11 PPG). Dundee/Bradford (15-5) is led by dynamic guard/Forward Logan Salvatore, Salvatore has scored 45 or more twice this season. No. 4 York (14-6) has one of the younger rosters in Class C but has pulled off some big wins this season for Coach Ed Orman. Four Sophomores are in the rotation along with a pair of Juniors. Sophomore Jake Pangrazio (15 PPG), Junior Maddox Timothy (15 PPG), and Sophomore Tyler Brady (10.0 PPG) Lead the team in scoring. They have two big wins over Cal-Mum and a win over Class B Leroy on their resume this season. No.5 Bolivar-Richburg could make run led by point guard Landon Danaher a 1,000-point scorer and big man Camdyn Macdonell. The winner of the four/Five game could upset Eugenio Maria.

Defending Champion: Avon
Contenders: No. 2 Avon, No.3 Geneseo, No. 4 Canisteo-Greenwood
Sleepers: No. 7 Letchworth, No. 9 Marcus Whitman
Outlook: Rochester Academy (17-0) finished the regular season undefeated but did not challenge themselves with their schedule, a 57-50 overtime win over defending Champion Avon is their Marquee win of the season. They do not have another win over a team with a .500 or better record. Avon (17-3) has much of their roster back from last season led by Senior Zach Colvin leads The Braves with 17 Points per game along with 10 rebounds. Canisteo-Greenwood is led by forward Hunter McCaffery and Point Guard Cole Ferris. McCaffery was recently named Steuben County MVP and Ferris was named a first team All-Star. Letchworth (9-11) enters the tournament Hot with recent wins over No.2 Avon and Class B Leroy. They might be poised to busts some brackets. Marcus Whitman (6-14) The Wildcats play in the rugged Finger Lakes East and have played one C school all season, Caledonia-Mumford in their season opener falling 59-56.
