A Whitesville teenager is in trouble with the law. Troopers arrested an 18-year-old name-protected boy for first-degree rape, a class B felony. State Police said the incident allegedly happened in the Town of Willing and involved a child under the age of 11. The teen was released from custody on a court appearance ticket.

State Police say one person was injured when a vehicle overturned and reportedly caught fire on Foster Lake Road in Alfred. Initial reports said the occupant was trapped, but was freed before first responders arrived. Troopers identified the driver as 20-year-old Niki J. Arendt of Middleport, NY. No word from police on the extent of injuries.
