Steuben County Covid-19 infection rate drops, hospitalizations jump

Author: Share:

We’re happy to report the lowest number of cases this month: 415 new positive tests have been reported since last week’s update.

Steuben still remains in the high COVID community level, and unfortunately, hospitalizations are up compared to last week.

It is strongly recommended that those in high community levels wear a mask indoors in public; get tested if having symptoms, after exposure, before and after travel, and before and after attending large gatherings. Those who test positive on a home test can report their results and get orders at https://www.steubencountyny.gov/publichealth

Please only report the first positive home test within 90 days. There is no need to report multiple times. We will be closed next Monday for Memorial Day, so our next COVID case update will be on Tuesday, May 31.
