Hornell City School BOE meets at 5:15pm tonight

City School Board members will meet Wednesday July 27 for a regularly scheduled meeting. On the agenda are multiple agreements with supporting agencies like the Steuben County Sheriff and vendors such as TK Elevator. The board will also approve disposing of school assets and will accept a generous donation from the Hornell Band Boosters Club. Here is the full agenda:

Resolved that, upon the recommendation of Superintendent Palotti, the Board authorize Patrick Flaitz to dispose of the following district vehicles:

Resolved that, upon the recommendation of Superintendent Palotti, the Board authorize Patrick Flaitz to dispose of the technology equipment on the list dated July 5, 2022.

  • Disposal of Misc, Item

Resolved that, upon the recommendation of Superintendent Palotti, the Board authorize Patrick Flaitz to dispose of a Whirlpool dual washing machine – Asset Tag – A00497029.

  • External Facility Use

Resolved that, upon the recommendation of Superintendent Palotti, the Board approve the updated External Facility Use Application.

  • Finance
  1. Service Agreement – TK Elevator

Resolved that, upon the recommendation of Superintendent Palotti, the Board approve the 36 month service agreement with TK Elevator Corp. to provide elevator service and maintenance effective August 1, 2022.

  • Service Agreement – Hillside

Resolved that, upon the recommendation of Superintendent Palotti, the Board approve the service agreement with Hillside to provide Therapeutic Education programming for the 2022/23 school year.

  • SRO Agreement w/ Steuben County Sheriff

Resolved that, upon the recommendation of Superintendent Palotti, the Board approve the agreement to with the Steuben County Sheriff to provide SRO Services effective September 1, 2022 through September 1, 2023.

  • Donation – Hornell Band Boosters Club

Resolved that, upon the recommendation of Superintendent Palotti, the Board accept the generous donation of $2,438.53 from the Hornell Band Boosters Club.

  • Tax Warrant for 2022-23

Resolved that, upon the recommendation of Superintendent Palotti, the Board approve the tax warrant for the 2022-23 school year.
