Weekly update from the Steuben County Public Health Department

179 new COVID cases were reported since last Monday’s update. The positivity rate is above 10% and we have moved into the medium community level.

To protect yourself, it is recommended that those who are at high risk for severe illness talk to their healthcare providers about if extra precautions are needed. Everyone is encouraged to stay up to date with COVID vaccines and to get tested if they have symptoms or after exposure.

Our next immunization clinic is this Wednesday, August 10 from 2-5 pm. COVID vaccines will be offered along with routine immunizations. Call our office at 607-664-2438 to schedule an appointment.

Our next COVID update will be next Wednesday, August 17.
