Holiday weekend impacts City Hall, the library, transit buses, and trash collection
Hornell City Hall will be closing at 12:00pm on Friday, September 2, 2022 and will be closed on Monday, September 5, 2022, in observance of Labor Day. City offices reopen Tuesday, September 6, 2022. City Hall will be open from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The Hornell Public Library, also, is closed on Labor Day and will reopen Tuesday, September 6, 2022.
Hornell Area Transit will not run any routes on Labor Day. Regular-schedule runs resume the next day.
There is no trash collection in the City of Hornell on Labor Day. Regular trash collection resumes the morning of September 6, 2022. This means collection citywide is delayed one day throughout that week.
Residents, still, must have their vehicles off City streets ON THE NIGHT BEFORE TRASH IS NORMALLY PICKED UP.
