Festival will include live music, street food, and kids events

The Hornell Partners for Growth and its 260 plus business members are providing the third annual Maple City Festival on September 17th from Noon – 6:00 pm. We are taking over the downtown streets of Hornell once again turning Main Street & Broadway Mall into the place to be.  The Business Improvement District is providing activities that are free to the community while having local schools, clubs, churches, fraternities, and non-profits volunteer to run some activities to raise money for their organizations. While most activities are free, donations are accepted and appreciated by these organizations.

Musical Performances by local bands will take place on our stage that is placed in front of City Hall on Main & Seneca Street where The Meat Cutters Union will play from Noon – 2:00 and Shylock Fox 3:00 – 6:00 PM.

Our Taste of the Valley area will set up on the City Hall side of Main Street where local restaurants and Food Trucks will be selling hometown favorites and delicious treats such as Cotton Candy, Popcorn, Candy Apples, Fried Dough and so much more.  There will be tents and tables in the center of the street so that you can relax and enjoy the food and music. There are several restaurants in Hornell that you can grab food from and bring to the tents.

Looking to start your holiday shopping early or need that special one-of-a-kind gift? Stop down and visit over 50 Craft Vendors that will be set up on the movie theatre end of Main Street. While you are in Hornell check out our local shops, stores and other businesses too. Many will have specials for the Festival.

Kids of all ages need to visit Broadway Mall where you will find, Bounce Houses, 40 foot bounce obstacle course,  double bounce side, and our popular Bubble Train & much more.   Stop by the Selfie Station to take pictures with family and friends or take a photo perfect Hayride around the city starting at the Hakes Ave and Main Street intersection. Remember these are free and donations for local organizations will be accepted.

Cruize’n Time will host our Car Show at the Community Bank on the corner of Seneca & Genesee Street. Registration is from 8 AM to 12:00 PM. Spectators get in free while the cost for car participants is $10. Show runs until 3PM.
