The Alfred Farmers Market will host a Fall Festival on Sunday, September 25th, from 11:am to 3:00 pm on the corner of Main Street and Saxon Dive.  The festival will feature close to 30 vendors selling vegetables, local meat, eggs, mushrooms, fruit, jam, honey, tinctures, ferments, bread, baked goods, flowers, garlic, pumpkins, gourds, maple syrup, mead, and a wide variety of artisans.

Kellogg’s Alpacas are bringing some of their animals to share with the public.  Carlin’s will be selling chicken BBQs on site.  Mascho Homestead Farms is hosting a pumpkin giveaway for the kids.  They get to decorate a pumpkin of their choice and take it home. There will also be tattoos for the children.

Casual Reply is performing from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Village Bandstand.  They play soft rock and country music.

It is not too soon to start your holiday shopping for unique handmade gifts made by local artisans and crafters.   There will be something for everyone.

The market accepts SNAP and Farmers Market Coupons.  Stop by the Manager’s Tents to participate in these programs and to pick up your free recipes. Take a chance on winning a homemade apple pie.

The Fall Market Festival is a great way to celebrate the beginning of a new season.  It is a fun way for families to spend a Sunday afternoon. It is an annual local event that you won’t want to miss. Support made and grown in America, better yet right here in Allegany County!
