Hornell girls soccer downed #2 Mynderse (11-5-2) by a 3-2 score in Dansville in the Section V semi-finals.
In the other game, #1 Bath (18-0) beat #5 Le Roy (8-10) to set up the matchup with #2 Hornell (15-3) in the finals.
Steve Harrison, who shot the game for the Hornell Sun, was able to report to us who scored the goals.
“Ireland Harrison had two goals, one in each half,” Harrison said. “The second goal of the night was one of the best placed balls I have seen in a high school game. Parker Graham, from 35 yards out, placed a rocket in the far, upper-corner in the first half for a 2-0 lead.”
Harrison says of the finals, “Hornell moves on to face one of the toughest teams they have seen all year long in the Bath-Haverling Rams for the third time this year. Hornell looks to avenge two loses in the regular season this Friday in the finals of Class B2.”
In the Bath game, Ella Yartym scored twice to lead the Rams while Lydia Dickson and Keegan Smith each had a goal.
