Deputies make multiple grand larceny arrests

January 9, 2023 Burglary and Grand Larceny Arrest

Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on January 7, 2023, Steuben County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Dusten W. Dodge, age 19, of Casselbury Lane, Granville Summit, Pennsylvania, following a two month investigation into a reported theft of guns, tools and a four wheeler in the Town of Lindley. It is alleged that Mr. Dodge entered a dwelling without permission and stole property from it. Mr. Dodge was charged with Burglary in the Second Degree, a class C Felony and Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, a class D Felony. Mr. Dodge was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and released.

January 11, 2023 Assault, Obstruction of Breathing Arrest

Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on January 9, 2023, Steuben County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Cory J. Morrow, age 21, of Third Street, Corning, New York, following an investigation into a reported domestic dispute in the Town of Erwin. It is alleged that Mr. Morrow intentionally struck and choked another person causing injury. Mr. Morrow was charged with Assault in the Third Degree and Criminal Obstruction of Breathing. Mr. Morrow was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and released.

January 13, 2023, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property Arrest

Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on January 13, 2023, Steuben County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested William J. Hargrave, age 58, of West William Street, Bath, New York, following an investigation into a reported stolen vehicle in the City of Corning. The vehicle was reported as stolen and then subsequently observed and stopped by a deputy in Bath. It is alleged that Mr. Hargrave operated and possessed the stolen vehicle on Liberty Street in Bath. Mr. Hargrave was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Third Degree, a class D Felony. The City of Corning Police Department is continuing their investigation into the theft of the vehicle, with future charges possible. Mr. Hargrave was held for arraignment in the Centralized Arraignment Court.
