Award winners announced for Central Steuben County Chamber of Commerce 2022 ceremony on Feb. 25

The Central Steuben Chamber of Commerce has announced the 2022 Award winners.

Tickets are now on sale for the annual awards dinner which will be held at the Charles E. Westcott American Legion Post #173 at 14 West William Street in Bath.

The dinner will be held on Feb. 25, but the chamber would like RSVP information by Feb. 15.

The cocktail hour begins at 5 p.m. on Feb. 25 with dinner at 6 p.m. and the awards banquet at 7 p.m.

The cost is $40 and you can RSVP by emailing steubenchamber@gmail.com or  calling 607-776-7122.

Any individual or business interested in the general advancement of the Central Steuben County Area are eligible for membership. The Chamber office hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from noon to 4 p.m. or by making an appointment at  (607) 776-7122.

The Hornell Sun will have detailed stories and photos on each award winner in the coming days and weeks. Here is a list of those who will be honored:

2022 Award Winners

Business of the Year: Pizza D, owned and operated by Dave and Jackie Havens and located at 31 Liberty Street in Bath, NY,

Businessperson of the Year: Marc and Becky Shuart, owners of Shuart Finger Lakes Properties LLC.

Agriculture Business of the Year: Brian and Nicole Wagner, owners of Bean Station Tree Farm.

Community Spirt Award winners

Patric McGlynn, Director of the Steuben County Dairy Festival and a professional photographer.

Dillon Lewis, Owner of Lewis Imagery.

Fire Department Recognition Awards

Firefighters of the Year

Bath: Jeff Robinson and Kyle Lisefski

Hammondsport: Bill Fries

Wallace: Duane Bush.

Non-Profit of the Year: Dormann Library in Bath

Veteran of the Year: Scott Ward of Bath, New York

Dr. Guy Hammond Memorial Scholarship Award and Richard Drain Scholarship Award (to be announced the night of the banquet)

Community Lifetime Achievement Award

Bath: Dave Taylor Smith, the Radio Voice of Bath

Prattsburgh: Len McConnell, firefighter, scout leader, santa and more!

Avoca: Wayne Benton (formerly Arnold & Benton Insurance in Avoca, now Genesee Valley Insurance Agency)
