Board President Jessica Hess has resigned from the board and that resignation was accepted at last nights board meeting. Hess was not present at the meeting but provided us with this statement:

Hess

“There are circumstances in my personal life that are changing and will affect my ability to perform my BOE duties. I felt that it was the most responsible course of action to resign. I have thoroughly enjoyed my almost 8 years on the BOE. I look forward to seeing the district continue to grow and provide the HCSD students with a great education.”

Christopher Clark was elected the new board President and Joseph Liberto will become the new board Vice President. Superintendent Palotti’s office provided this overview of the changes:

“The changes are due to the resignation of Jessica Hess as a member of the Board, she was also Board President, thus causing the need to elect a new President.  Christopher Clark was elected as President, since he was the current VP, this caused the need to elect a new VP.  Joseph Liberto was elected as VP, these appointments are made annually, so they will end in June and new officers will be elected in July at the annual reorganizational meeting.”
