Though some teams had low numbers due to spring sports practices and theatre productions at area schools, there were some very exciting and fast paced competitions tonight.

Campbell-Savona hosted the MEDIUM LARGE SCHOOL DIVISION.    With no B teams represented,  Naples took the first match with a score of 35-5 over Canisteo-Greenwood.   Host Campbell-Savona fell to Addison with a match score of 34-7.

Coach Steve Donlon and his undefeated Alfred-Almond team hosted the MEDIUM SMALL SCHOOL DIVISION this evening.  Hammondsport team, led by coach Annie Stone, scrimmaged their A players vs their B team.  With a lively back and forth scoring, the final had the A team eking by a strong B showing with a 34-30 win.

In the second match of the night, the Alfred-Almond Eagles outscored coach Tyler Anvet’s Jasper-Troupsburg team, 78-37.

The SMALL SCHOOL DIVISION match took place in Canaseraga.  Avoca continues its strong showing this year with a win over Bradford 44-21.   Coach Lacey Deiter led her Canaseraga team to a close but successful finish with a score of 44 over Prattsburgh’s  40.

The large school division had a bye this evening.

No matches are to be played next Monday due to conference days at some of the schools.   Hope to see you on Monday the 27th at 6:15 in Corning, Canisteo-Greenwood, Hammondsport, and Bradford.
