Public input is essential to a successful Comprehensive Plan
From Steuben County:
With the public input phase of the Steuben County Comprehensive Plan winding down, county residents still have opportunities online to add their preferences on the direction they want the county to go.
Public input on the plan at a Zoom meeting held Thursday evening drew wide-ranging and thoughtful ideas, according to host MRB’s Director of Municipal Services Matt Horn.
Horn said responses during the input sessions beginning in late January have been very important and effective in shaping plans for the next 15 years.
Steuben residents still have an opportunity to provide comments and feedback to the survey, which will be live until the end of March. The survey is located at the bottom of the page at
Local leaders also will have a chance to learn more and give feedback at the Southern Tier Central Regional Leadership Conference scheduled for Apr. 6 at Corning Community College. Organizers said there will be another public engagement session scheduled after the draft of the plan comes together to get more feedback on the progress of the plan.
