Andrew B. Isenberg is the District Executive for the 8th Judicial District who oversees Allegany and seven other counties

A high-ranking New York State lawyer, Andrew Isenberg, was arrested on the campus of SUNY Buffalo on March 4, 2023, the Wellsville Sun has learned.
SUNY Police have provided the Wellsville Sun with this report:
“University Police can confirm that Andrew B. Isenberg of Amherst, N.Y., was arrested on March 4, 2023, inside Alumni Arena for one count of loitering on school grounds. Isenberg was released and issued an appearance ticket.”
According to documents obtained by the Wellsville Sun, the arrest took place at 4:05 p.m. at 80 Coventry Road at the University at Buffalo’s Alumni Arena. During that time, information was taken from Isenberg, he was issued an appearance ticket and SUNY Police were provided with assistance before filing a report.
Alumni Area is where the Division I sports teams at the college complete in sports and graduation is held.
Tasha Moore, Esq, the acting District Executive for the 8th Judicial District, confirmed to the Sun that Mr. Isenberg has been placed on administrative leave. Moore was formerly Isenberg’s deputy.
Isenberg is the District Executive for the Eighth Judicial District, which is responsible for an eight-county territory comprised of Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Wyoming, Genesee, Erie, Orleans, and Niagara Counties.
According to the University at Buffalo School of Law website when he received an award, “Andrew B. Isenberg (class of 1992) of Williamsville, N.Y., will receive the 2021 Award of Merit from the Bar Association of Erie County, in Buffalo. Isenberg is district executive for the New York State Unified Court System, 8th Judicial District, in Buffalo. He serves as liaison to the courts for the UB Law Alumni Association.”
There are roughly 100 judges who preside over the district courts.
As the district executive, Isenberg is responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of the courts of the 8th Judicial District, including oversight of office operations, assistance with the development and implementation of district policies and procedures, along with managerial analysis of complex problems.
According to the judicial conduct, the district executive also manages administrative duties of the region’s court system, overseeing and preparing reports, managing budget preparation, and oversee performance management for district employees. Isenberg has performed these functions for the courts of the most westerly region of New York since November 2004.
