NYS Troopers responded mid-day Tuesday March 28

NYS police responded to the town of Wellsville late Tuesday morning for an unattended death.
Trooper James O’Callahan from Troop A confirmed that Michael T. Marino, 77, of Wellsville was found on the WAG trail near County Route 44(Back River Road). Marino’s body was found just off the popular walking trail.
There were no signs of foul play in the death. O’Callahan noted that the body was found slightly off the trail indicating the possiblity of a medical emergency. The investigation and autopsy results are pending.
The WAG(former Wellsville-Addison-Galeton railroad) is open to the public and there is no public safety concern related to this unattended death.
