“Thank you, Dan, for all you do”
The City of Hornell Employee Spotlight proudly shines on Dan ‘Smitty’ Smith, as Mayor Buckley presented Dan with the Employee Spotlight Certificate recognizing his ‘Positive Attitude, Dedication and Willingness to tackle any project.’
Dan is a 12-year veteran of the Department of Public Works. “No matter the job Smitty is always ready with a smile, a kind word, and a positive attitude. He is an asset to the City of Hornell and the DPW,” said Mayor Buckley. “Thank you, Dan, for all you do and for bringing a smile and positive attitude to those around you.” Working with the DPW, Dan’s duties are many and vary with the season. In the winter months, Dan could be found providing maintenance on several of the City’s municipal buildings or salting/plowing roads. In the summer months, Dan is busy mowing, trimming, and keeping our City beautiful! Whether it’s 9 degrees or 90 degrees, Dan is always willing to tackle any task in front of him and does it with a smile. Thank you, Smitty!
