Free transportation is available in the City of Hornell

The Rochester Regional Mobile Mammogram Bus will be at the Community Arts Center June 24 from 10:00 – 2:00. This is for women over the age of 40 with or without insurance, they just need to call 585-922-7465 or 1-833-922-7465. If they do not have insurance they will be set up with a grant to pay for it.

*If someone is from Hornell and needs a ride please have them reach out to Val at Canisteo Valley Community Outreach Committee (607-324-9786) and she will set up a ride for them.

Here is some information about the Mobile Unit and how long it takes.

Rochester Regional Health’s Mobile Mammography Center has the same state-of-the-art technology and certified mammography technologists you would find at any of our breast imaging centers.

Most women are busy. Between work and family needs, getting a mammogram may seem almost impossible. Our goal is to make screening simple and accessible. The mobile mammography center will be visiting locations in your community. You can request an appointment online or call 585-922-PINK(7465). We are ready to travel to you!

What to Expect
In a private changing area, you will be provided with a comfortable robe to change into for the screening.

A female technologist will position your breast for the mammogram. Your breast is then compressed while she takes pictures from different angles.

The actual breast compression only lasts a few seconds.
The screening will take 15 minutes.
