From the City of Hornell,

The Department of Public Works was excited to recently receive some new equipment with the arrival of a new backhoe. The backhoe was purchased using funds provided through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).

“We continue to prioritize investments in our equipment and infrastructure. Just as with the recent addition of the new wheel loader, this backhoe will serve an important in role for years to come in the DPW. While the wait-time for equipment has been challenging, we are excited for the arrival of this piece in time for our many summer projects,” stated Mayor John Buckley.

The new backhoe has already been put to good use since its arrival, as the Department of Public Works continues its busy summer season.
