ArC Allegany-Steuben announces that Heather Perkins will be the new COO

Promotion for the twenty year veteran from Andover NY

BATH, NY – The Arc Allegany-Steuben, a not-for-profit agency that provides supports and services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families, is pleased to announce the promotion of Heather Perkins to Chief Operations Officer. In her new position, Heather will be an integral part of the agency’s Strategic Development and Operations Management.

Heather began her career at the Arc Allegany-Steuben in 2003 as a Medicaid Service Coordinator. She was then promoted to Behavior Technician in 2006, Behavior Specialist in 2009, Director for Behavioral Services in 2015, and Associate Executive Director of Program Services in 2020. Heather has a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, a Master’s degree in Psychology, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Outside of the Arc Allegany-Steuben, Heather is on the Board for the Andover Chamber of Commerce, Secretary for the Andover Sports Boosters, Modified Boys soccer coach for Andover/Whitesville, on the Andover Ladies Fireman Auxiliary, on the critical incident stress debriefing team for first responders, and a member of Chi Sigma Lota.
