Man arrested for attempting to kill two NYS Police officers in the town of Bath

An August 20 domestic dispute lead to gunfire, suspect wounded and in custody

Larry J. Schoonover, 51, of Bath NY was arrested early this week for two counts of attempted murder of a police officer. Those first degree felony charges were followed by a felony reckless endangerment and felony possession of a weapon with a prior conviction.

WLEA talked to Steuben County District Attorney Brooks Baker about the incident this morning on their, “Newsmakers” radio program.

Baker confirmed at Schoonover was wounded and hospitalized after the incident. Read the WLEA reporting:
