August 29, 2023: Trespass, Criminal Contempt and Resisting Arrest
Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on August 29, 2023, Deputies of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office arrested Nikida M. Tyler, age 38, of Fenderson Street Extension, Corning, New York, following a report of a trespass in the Town of Corning. It is alleged that Ms. Tyler violated a duly served order of protection, entered or remained unlawfully in a premise, physically resisted her arrest and obstructed deputies from conducting their duty. Ms. Tyler was charged with Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree, Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration and Resisting Arrest. Ms. Tyler was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and held in lieu of $1 bail.
August 30, 2023: Menacing, Possession of a Weapon, Possession of Stolen Property Arrest
Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on August 29, 2023, Deputies of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office arrested Sergio M. Allen, age 48, of Medford Campbell Boulevard, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, following a 911 text report of a person with a gun on I-86 in the Town of Hornellsville. It is alleged that Mr. Allen placed another person in fear of injury by displaying a firearm, and illegally possessed a stolen firearm. Mr. Allen was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, a class D Felony, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree, a class E Felony, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, a class E Felony and Menacing in the Second Degree. Mr. Allen was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and released. K9 Mac was used in this arrest to locate the weapon.
