Congressman Nick Langworthy to Host Farm Bill Listening Session in Chautauqua County with Ag Committee Chairman Glenn “GT” Thompson

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Nick Langworthy (NY-23) will host a Farm Bill Listening Session in Portland, NY on September 6, 2023. He will be joined by House Committee on Agriculture Chairman Glenn “GT” Thompson.

Every five years, Congress passes legislation that sets national agriculture, nutrition, conservation, and forestry policy, commonly referred to as the “Farm Bill.” This event will bring together farmers, producers, agribusiness owners, and more to solicit public feedback—an integral part of the Farm Bill reauthorization process.

LOCATION: Cornell Cooperative Extension (6592 W Main Rd, Portland, NY 14769)

This event will be open to the public. Those who wish to speak must RSVP, though due to time constraints, it does not guarantee a speaking slot.
