Chief Murray issues a statement

It is with deep sadness I report the passing of retired Hornell Chief of Police Paul K. Crowe. Chief Crowe started his career with the Hornell Police Department on September 22, 1972. He advanced through the ranks serving our department as investigator, Patrol sergeant, was promoted to Captain in February of 1983. On January 1, 1997, Paul was promoted to Chief of Police. He served as Chief until his retirement on March 31, 2007. Those who knew Chief Crowe remember his service and proud commitment to the police service and the citizens of Hornell. At this time funeral arrangements have not been complete.
