Cyclists circle Keuka Lake for a vital cause

“Guardians of the Brewery” team raises over $23,000 !!

From Tour De Teddi,

Branchport, NY – On a recent day filled with determination and a strong sense of community, more than 400 cyclists of all ages and backgrounds gathered at Camp Good Days’ Branchport recreational facility. They came together for a common cause: to support Camp Good Days in one of its largest fundraisers, the Tour de Teddi.

Cyclists eagerly gathered at the picturesque Keuka Lake, ready to embark on a journey that would take them around the stunning lake and, in doing so, contribute to a vital cause. This year’s event was particularly special, marking a significant milestone by raising more funds than any previous year.

Riders had the choice of two scenic routes. The first was a 27-mile ride, while the more adventurous cyclists opted for the challenging 45-mile circuit that encircled the entirety of Keuka Lake. The triumphant journey concluded back at the Camp Good Days camping facility, where riders were treated to a well-deserved lakeside cookout for lunch.

What made this year’s Tour de Teddi truly extraordinary was the incredible amount of support it garnered. The event raised a remarkable total of over $110,000, shattering previous fundraising records. These funds will play a crucial role in furthering Camp Good Days’ mission of enriching the lives of individuals impacted by cancer or sickle cell anemia.

Gary Mervis, the Founder of Camp Good Days, expressed his gratitude, saying, “It has been a truly incredible show of support today. Coming out of COVID, we were uncertain about what our new normal would look like regarding our fundraising events. But even despite the rain, over 400 riders came out to support Camp Good Days, which is more than we could ever ask for. Their support means so much to not only our campers but also to me personally. All in all, it was a perfect day to be at Camp Good Days.”

Camp Good Days extends its deepest thanks to the riders, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters who made this remarkable achievement possible. Their unwavering commitment to the cause exemplifies the power of community and compassion, driving positive change in the lives of those in need. The Tour de Teddi’s success reaffirms the organization’s ability to make a meaningful impact and bring joy to those it serves.

We wanted to highlight our top Tour de Teddi fundraising team, Guardians of the Brewery (Five Sons Winery & RG Brewery), for raising over $23,600 for Tour de Teddi! We are blown away by how much they raised and are incredibly appreciative of their fundraising efforts, which have significantly impacted the success of the 2023 Tour de Teddi! Thank you so much once again!
