A Hamlin NY man faces seven felonies after fleeing Troopers

NYS Police report a laundry list of charges against Travis Brongo, 39, of Hamlin NY. Brongo, a repeat offender, apparently attempted to evade police at a traffic stop. Not only was Brongo driving drunk but he has prior DWI convictions within the last decade, no drivers license, was in possession of drugs, and was driving a stolen vehicle.

After apprehending Brongo he was charged with three felony counts of Grand Larceny, felony Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the third and fourth degree, felony aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, felony DWI, misdemeanor Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, and misdemeanor Fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle.

Brongo was held pending court action.


In Canisteo NY, State Police arrested another repeat offender for DWI. Catlynn Empson, of Greenwood NY was arrested and charged with felony DWI due to a prior conviction within the last ten years.

Empson was released with an appearance ticket.


A Canandaguia man was arrested in the early hours of November 10 for multiple felony charges after a traffic stop in Farmington NY. Fabian Reid, 43, faces felony drug charges after being found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine. He was also knowingly driving without a license, also a felony charge.

Reid was driving under the influence and charged with his first DWI and driving with a BAC over .08%.

Troopers report that he was held pending court action.

*All those accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
