Community forum starts at 5pm, followed by full board meeting, read the agenda

District leadership as well as our architects and construction manager will host a Capital Project Community Forum on December 6 to share information and answer questions about the project to be proposed to voters in a referendum on December 20. Please join us on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 5 p.m. at in the High School Lobby.
The project is largely focused on the construction of a new competition gymnasium at Hornell High School, including an elevated community-accessible walking track. Security enhancements at each of our buildings are also an important part of the project. Click here to read more.

- Approval of the minutes of the meeting of October 23, 2023
- Approval of the Federal Budget Transfer Report of October 31, 2023
- Approval of the General Fund Budget Transfer Report of October 31, 2023
- Approval of the Revenue Report of October 31, 2023.
- Approval of the Appropriations Report of October 31, 2023.

Resolved that, upon recommendation of Superintendent Palotti, the Board approve the UPK Program Plan.
- Bus Stop Safety Report – PTSI
Resolved that, upon recommendation of Superintendent Palotti, the Board
accept the Bus Stop Safety Report and associated recommendations from PTSI and their report dated November 16, 2023.
- Food Service Equipment Disposal
Resolved that, upon the recommendation of Superintendent Palotti, the Board authorize Patrick Flaitz to dispose of the following Food Service Equipment:
(2) Electrolux ovens – Asset Tags # 002553 and 002554
- Library Book Disposal
Resolved that, upon the recommendation of Superintendent Palotti, the Board authorize Patrick Flaitz to dispose of the North Hornell Library Books on the list dated November 1, 2023.
- Senior Trip Request
Resolved that, upon the recommendation of Superintendent Palotti, the Board approve the Senior Trip Request for a trip to Lake George, NY on June 7 – 9, 2023.
- Internal Audit Report
Resolved that, upon the recommendation of the Audit Committee, the Board
accept the findings of the Internal Audit Report performed by Tompkins Seneca Tioga BOCES dated November 2023.

- Engagement Letter – Hodgson Russ
Resolved that, upon the recommendation of Superintendent Palotti, the Board approve the engagement letter with Hodgson Russ Attorneys for Social Media litigation.
- 2024/25 Budget Calendar
Resolved that, upon the recommendation of Superintendent Palotti, the Board approve the 2024/25 Budget Calendar.
- Bus Lease Bid Award
Resolved that, upon the recommendation of Superintendent Palotti, the Board approve the Bus Lease Bid award to the lowest responsible bidder as follows:
Ontario Investment, Inc. – 5 years at beginning December 2023
$34,552.21/year for a total of $172,761.05

E. Informational
The Capital Project Public Vote will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from Noon until 9:00 PM in the HS Lobby.
The Board will hold a Special Meeting on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 9:30 PM in the HS Cafeteria to accept the results of the Capital Project Vote.
The next regular meeting of the Board of Education will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 5:15 PM in the High School Library.
