Podcasts are all the rage, they have really provided a way for in-depth storytelling and interviewing to reach the masses. In Geneseo NY, a new podcast is coming to life with the help of SUNY radio station WGSU 89.3FM and the new live music venue DrumRoll Stage and Sushi.

“Conversations from Drumroll,” which airs on 89.3 WGSU at 10:30 A.M. on Saturdays!

The fact is that Geneseo is, and has been a “hub” for live music for generations. Many great bands have emerged from the Livingston County college town, the home of BUZZO. Many great bands will be traveling through Geneseo in 2024, rolling into town for the new Drumroll Stage and Sushi on Court Street.

The crew at Drumroll are musicians and live music fanatics. The mission of this new venue revolves around great live music performances, and of course, sushi. They have big plans to bring great live music performances to Geneseo, the Finger Lakes Region and Western New York.

To accentuate and retrospect those performances, the fabulous Sarah DeVito, the general manager of Drumroll, is interviewing artists as the “roll” into town. So far she has sat down with some great guests!!!

The first episode is an unedited cut of Sarah DeVito’s chat with this week’s guest, Ric Robertson from the Sam Grisman Project. Our inaugural episode has a funky camera angle but we hope you enjoy nonetheless:

They call it the “Sundance Roll”

Sarah interviews the leader of the band, Sam Grisman while he was in Geneseo for the DrumRoll New Year’s Jamboree!

Furthur reading on Sam and his project! If you are out west, the band is about to start a tour!!

Sarah DeVito’s chat with this week’s guest, Iggy Marino of Public Water Supply who just released the single “Leila” ! Iggy is a Hornell NY native, now front man of Public Water Supply!!
