Everyone at FLBM wishes Griffin Bates fair winds and following seas as he embarks on his new adventure as the Steuben County Historian!

Griffin spent over nine years with us – first as a volunteer, then as a Visitor Services Associate, and finally as our Media Specialist. Kudos, Griffin, for all that you’ve contributed to FLBM. We are so glad you will still be in the area helping to make history relevant and accessible to all! (Check out his awesome “Museum Nerd” hoodie! 😄)

Check out the Boat Building Workshop Series offered by the Finger Lakes Boating Museum this January through August. Select from a variety or workshops on boat restoration or sign up for the complete series and really dive into what it takes to restore old vessels. Great activity for the novice or expert alike.
