Located within the vibrant communities of Hornell and Bath, Samantha Voss has been making waves with her dynamic approach to dance and tumbling instruction. As the founder of Voss Studios, Samantha brings a wealth of experience and passion to her craft, shaping the lives of young dancers and tumblers with dedication and care.

Samantha’s journey in the world of dance began at the tender age of four when she took her first steps into the world of movement at the Donna Farch School of Dance. Since then, her love for dance has only grown stronger, propelling her towards a career dedicated to sharing this passion with others.

After moving to Hornell at 16, Samantha immersed herself in the local dance scene, working tirelessly at a local studio for 17 years before embarking on her own venture. It was in 2019 that Samantha’s vision expanded to include tumbling, a decision that would eventually lead to the inception of Voss Studios in 2022.

At Voss Studios, Samantha and her team provide a nurturing environment where children can explore their creativity and build confidence. With two locations in Hornell and Bath, the studio offers a diverse range of classes including Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Lyrical, alongside their renowned tumbling program.

The studio operates during the dance season from September to June, with summer sessions allowing children to sample classes without long-term commitments. Samantha takes pride in her team of instructors, which includes Amber Trudell, Alexis Robinson, and Angie Martinez in Hornell, and Kimberly Cruze in Bath. Each instructor brings their own unique style and expertise, contributing to the vibrant atmosphere at Voss Studios.

One of the core principles at Voss Studios is empowerment. Samantha firmly believes in fostering a “can-do” attitude among her students, never allowing them to utter the words “I can’t.” Through dance and tumbling, children not only develop physical skills but also learn valuable life lessons about perseverance and self-belief.

Beyond the studio walls, Voss Studios actively engages with the community through various events and initiatives. From Halloween parties to Easter painting contests, Samantha ensures that her students have opportunities to showcase their talents and bond with their peers. The studio’s annual productions, lovingly referred to as “productions” by Samantha, are a highlight of the year, bringing together families and friends to celebrate the achievements of the students.

The support of the community has been instrumental in the success of Voss Studios, with organizations like Hornell Partners for Growth sponsoring the Hornell location. Samantha’s dedication to her students and her craft has not gone unnoticed, with her family and the thriving studio serving as testaments to her unwavering commitment.

In recognition of outstanding achievements, Voss Studios offers two scholarships: a community scholarship providing a year of free lessons and the prestigious “Star Scholarship” awarded to the student showing the most growth. These scholarships reflect Samantha’s belief in the transformative power of dance and tumbling, transcending mere physical activity to instill confidence and resilience in her students.

As Samantha looks towards the future, she remains committed to expanding opportunities for her students. Plans for a new competition team in the fall promise to provide select students with a platform to showcase their talents on a larger stage.

For those eager to witness the magic of Voss Studios firsthand, upcoming productions are scheduled in both Hornell and Bath. The Hornell production will take place on June 8th and 9th at 5:00 pm at the Hornell Intermediate School. Meanwhile, the Bath production is set for May 4th at 5:00 pm and May 5th at 1:00 pm at Haverland High School. Tickets are priced at $10, with free admission for children aged three and under.
