Update on 2024 events from Hornell Partners

Hornell Partners for Growth would like to update everyone on the 2024 calendar year of events

From Hornell Partners for Growth,

To start with we are excited to inform you that we are bringing you “Thursdays at the Square”, a night full of Family Fun and Entertainment at Union Square Park on Thursday Nights from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm; starting June 27th through August 29.  These nights will be full of different types of entertainment for all ages.  We are currently planning the events and will have them posted on Facebook, our website, & Discover Hornell App.

Additionally, we will be holding our 11th Annual Wildflower Festival on May 25 in the green space at 40 Main Street next to the HPG office, Trunk or Treat on Oct 28, and Hornell for the Holidays Shop Local event on Nov 30, Tree Lighting and Santa’s Cottage.

Additionally, our executive Director Valorie Whitehill has been working with many agencies around town to bring you other events such as the 2nd Annual VFW 2250 Catherine Cone Scholarship Fundraising Carnival on June 1 at the Hornell VFW, the Hornell Elks Lodges 3rd annual Community Baby Shower is held at the Hornell YMCA on September 28th, and is currently working with many veterans’ agencies around the county will be hosting a Freedom Festival for all Veterans and their families this summer.

With the construction taking place downtown over the next year, we will not be holding the Maple City Fall Festival or the 4th of July Festival; however, Fireworks will be held at Veterans Memorial Park at James Street at 10:00 PM.
