“Shark tank style” competition needs a panel for May 16

The Hornell High School Business Department is looking for 10 businesses to join them on May 16th from 9am to 1pm to judge business projects (shark tank style), provide feedback and give the business students an opportunity to practice communicating with business professionals in our networking and luncheon session. Coffee and donuts will be provided at 8:30 as well as lunch.

Here is the schedule of events for Thursday May 16:
3rd Annual HHS Business Day Agenda
8:30-9:00: Welcome, coffee, doughnuts
9:00-10:30: Student Presentations to the board
- Our business students (Principles of Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Accounting, ACE Personal Finance) will present their business plans to the board (Shark Tank style) for feedback and voting.
10:30-11:00: Food Truck Presentations
- Keyboarding and Computer Applications students will present their food truck businesses for feedback and voting.
11:00-11:45: Networking time with ACE Professionalism students
- This session will be broken into small time slots (approximately 10-15 minutes depending on the number of volunteers we have) where students will introduce themselves and have brief conversations with each of our board members. Board members will be asked to provide feedback on the students’ communication skills and overall professionalism.
11:45-12:45 Luncheon
- Time to enjoy lunch together and give our Professionalism students an opportunity to practice their dining etiquette skills.
1:00: Business and Marketing Honor Society Induction
- This ceremony will be a time to introduce and celebrate the academic accomplishments of our business students. Parents and school leaders will also be invited to be present for the ceremony. Guest Speaker: TBD
