Last night, Matt Sheldon, long time wrestling coach in Hornell was inducted into the Section 5 Wrestling Hall of Fame at Red Fedeles Brook House in Rochester.
Matt Sheldon coached wrestling in Hornell for 16 years, earning 3 section 5 titles. He had 23 section 5 champions and sent 20 wrestlers to the state meet.
Matt was a teacher,principal and coach in Hornell. He went on to become a school superintendent at Morris Central School where he retired from in 2021.
