It’s a good day at the Steuben County Jail!

A new body scanner was installed at the jail today. The AllTek84 Intercept® is the most advanced x-ray body scanning system for the detection of weapons, drugs, cell phones and other contraband in seconds. Patented technology allows the scanner to detect metallic and nonmetallic threats concealed under clothing and within body cavities in 3.8 seconds.
The ultra-low dose x-ray scanning safely creates sharp, clear images. Bottom line, this new scanner will help us create a safer environment for the people who are housed or work inside our correctional facility.
