Steuben Board of Elections Commissioners remind voters to keep information up to date
From Steuben County,
BATH – Steuben County Board of Elections commissioners reminded county residents to be sure their voter information is up to date.
“Voters can check their voter registration, party affiliation, and where they vote, by going to the NYS Board of Elections website at https://voterlookup.elections.ny.gov/poll,” Democratic Election Commissioner Colleen Hauryski said.
If the voter’s record is not found, the voter should call the board of elections office at (607) 664-2260 so the office can investigate any issues. Typically, voters move or change their name and don’t update their information with the Board of Election, the commissioners said.

The commissioners said the deadline for voter registration, absentee or early vote by mail applications for the Nov. 8 General Election is Oct. 26.
Oct. 26 is also the last day a voter can request a ballot using the online portal at https://elections.ny.gov/request-ballot
The county Board of Elections recently received a state Ballot by Mail grant up $44,445 to provide pre-paid return postage and outgoing postage on all absentee ballots and applications, and early voting mail ballots and applications.
