“Loving Mother & Grandmother”

Gloria M. Lundberg of Rushford Road passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at the Pines of Olean.

Gloria was born on December 13, 1930, in New York City and was the daughter of Charles and Katherine Penney Orlando. On June 19, 1954, in New York City, she married her loving husband, Ronald Lundberg who predeceased her on December 12, 2017.

Gloria earned her Bachelor’s Degree from City College of New York in 1952 and her Master’s Degree in Physiology Public Health from Vasser College in 1954. She worked for Allegany County Department of Social Services in various capacities for 16 years. She enjoyed reading, doing crosswords, classic TV shows, going to the opera, sitting in the sun, knitting, and going for walks. Gloria loved New York City and the Yankees. She was a lay minister for the Episcopalian Church through the Rochester Diocese.

Gloria is survived by her two sons: Christopher Lundberg of Bellows Falls, VT and, Timothy Lundberg of Franklinville, two daughters: Elizabeth Lundberg of Chester, WV., and Melissa (Stephen) Willey of Franklinville, her grandchildren; John (Jessica Lucier) Willey, Katie Willey, one great grandson, Ethan, several nieces and nephews.

Gloria was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Ronald, and her brother, Charles Orlando.

A memorial service will be held at St. Johns Episcopal Church, 12 E. Genesee Street, Wellsville, NY 14895 on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 10:00am where the Rev. Carol Stewart will officiate.
