Thursday February 13 will be final day of operations

Late Sunday the Hooker Family announced on social media that the full service pizzeria style eatery will close the doors. The establishment has been on the market for over five years without finding a buyer. Read that full statement below:

With a humble heart, we would like to thank the community for their support the last 20 years. Through all of our trials, our ups, our downs, employee training, COVID, the weather, and so much more; you have stood beside us. Through our celebrations and accomplishments, new items like the pizza crust sandwich and garlic knot burger, the taste testing(not all of those turned out great, but the feed back was amazing), you were there. We have customers that we have had since day one. We’ve watched some of you grow and build families , have watched your children grow and in some cases have watched their children grow as well. We have lost many customers to old age and some others have left us way to early in their life. We have missed them. We have celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, and have been a gathering place for friends over the years. And no matter the occasion, we have loved it all. Because that has meant that we have your trust, your loyalty and much more; we are who YOU thought of. We couldn’t be more blessed.

With all of this, it is with a heavy heart that I must announce that we will be closing our doors. Our final day of business will be Thursday February 13th. Little Italy has been for sale for well over 5 years. We were hoping for someone to carry on the legacy, but that is not the case in this situation. Please feel free to stop in and say your “until next time”‘s. Because it is never good bye. Make sure you bring in and use your gift certificates as well. There will be no cash back offered.

We have been blessed. Thank you to you all. I don’t care if you were a customer for a day, a week or for 20 years, thank you. I personally will miss you all. Our staff may never forgive me as they will miss you all as well. All things must come to an end, we will never forget and we hope you will never forget us.

Be blessed.

Customers expressed some surprise and grief about the announcement, many wished Anita and team well:

Lorraine Pfaff So very sorry to hear this 💔 you were always great to everyone . Best of luck to all . God bless your next journey Anita ❤️❤️🙏🙏

Brandy Greenthal This breaks my heart. 😭

Lori Lapham This is heartbreaking 😭 almost the only pizza place I order from. Love y’all and good luck on y’all’s next adventure 💕

Jonathan D Burns I was so hoping that someone would purchase their restaurant and continue the legacy….. You guys had great pizza, subs, garlic knots and service!!! You are the only place that will deliver to the farm! There were many days in the summer that we would work long hours wonder what to eat at the end of the day and give you guys a call and you would be to the rescue with a delivery for dinner! You will be greatly missed! Thank you for your years of dedication and service.
