Paul Herman Burrows, 79, Fillmore

Paul Herman Burrows of 10472 Bernard Street, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025 in Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville surrounded by his family. He was born on April 29, 1945 in Farmersville, a son of the late Herman and Alice Sherwood Burrows. On December 23, 1968 in the Fillmore Methodist Church he married Judy Wilkins who survives.

Paul was a self employed logger for 48 years. He was the owner and operator of Paul Burrows Logging, sawed all of his own lumber and worked with many area logging companies. For the last 20 years of his logging career Judy ran the timber jack working alongside him.

Paul was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, mowing lawn, racing and towing at Freedom Raceway, Perry Raceway and Bradford Raceway for 10 years but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Surviving is a daughter from his first marriage, Paula (Paul) Mills of Fillmore, his wife, Judy and their children, Julie (Dennis) Hall of Fillmore, Michael (Stacey) Burrows of Bliss, Brian (Natalie) Burrows of Belmont, Tonya (Bill) Palmer of Cohocton, 13 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, his siblings, Carol Sampson of Farmersville, Mary (David) Mann, Tom (Fran) Burrows, John (Linda) Burrows all of Fillmore, a half-sister, Sheila Cole of Castile and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a step-father, Jack Cole, a brother, Albert “Ray” Burrows and two sisters, Jane Houser and Alice “Cookie” Burdick.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at the Fillmore Fire Hall from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm during which a memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm. Rev. Jerry Clark, pastor of the Rawson Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery, Freedom.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N Genesee Street, Fillmore.
